General Topics

Q: What is the CC United Soccer Club?
CC United is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide the youth of our community with a quality soccer program. This will be accomplished by promoting sportsmanship, fun, teamwork and leadership while developing soccer skills through instruction and competitive play for Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria communities.
Q: How strong is your club?
CC United membership is currently around 2,500 active players, making it one of the largest, most established independent soccer clubs in Minnesota.
Q: Are you affiliated with CAA, Chaska Parks & Recreation or Chanhassen Parks & Recreation?
No. CC United operates independently of these organizations under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors and with the help of two full-time employees, the Director of Coaching and the Club Administrator, and several part time employees. The club relies on many volunteers as well as sponsorships and fundraising.

Programs

Q: What programs does your club offer?
Our club offers a summer recreational program and both a summer and fall competitive program.
Q: What is the difference between recreational and competitive soccer?
Our summer recreational soccer program includes 1,300 youth, ages 4-13 for both boys and girls. The season typically runs late April through June (9-weeks) and consists of one practice and one game per week. The summer competitive program includes over 800 youth, ages 8-19 for both boys and girls. The season begins in December or January with indoor preseason training and runs through late July. Teams compete against Metro Area teams within the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). These teams generally practice/play 2-4 times per week and compete in 2-3 tournaments. Teams are coached by licensed coaches who focus on both age appropriate technical and tactical instruction as directed by the Director of Coaching to further player development.
Q: How does the fall competitive program differ from the summer competitive program?
The fall competitive program is a shortened version of our summer program.  The fall competitive program supports approximately 500 youth, ages 8-14 for both boys and girls. The season runs late August through late October where teams again compete against Metro Area teams within MYSA. These teams generally practice 1-2 times per week and play a game on Saturdays and/or Sundays throughout the season. Teams are coached by licensed coaches who focus both on age appropriate technical and tactical instruction as directed by the Director of Coaching to further player development.
Q: Do you have any winter programs?
There are training opportunities and clinics facilitated by the Director of Coaching from January to March. Competitive program coaches may also work independently with their respective teams at our indoor facilities during winter. We also offer a Futsal mini-league that runs from January to mid-February.
Q: Do you have any programs for adult players?
Yes, the club has a number of playing opportunities for adults. CC United adult teams routinely compete in the Minnesota Recreational Soccer League (MRSL).
